Max Cards

Max Cards allow families to visit over 1,100 attractions at a free or discounted rate.

They're available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities aged up to 19 years old.

Max Cards can be used for up to two children and two adults. The card is the property of the registered child or young person. To use the discount, the child must be present.

You will need your cards at the venue to use the discount. Venues have the right to ask for your proof of identity when you use the card.

Planning your day out

You may need to pre-book your visit to some venues. Larger venues may also offer the discount to the rest of your family. Check the Max Cards website to find out more.

Make sure you have your Max Card and any tickets/vouchers with you when you go or you won't be able to claim the discount.

When you apply for tickets please list them in order of preference.

You have to be registered with Short Breaks to apply for tickets.

Remember to check the attraction’s website for details on accessibility and also any special events like the annual sensory day at Colchester Zoo.
