Essex County Council, Short Breaks team would like to invite interested providers and organisations to a market engagement event we are hosting on Friday 16th June 10am – 12noon on Ms Teams.
Our consultations from 2021 and 2022, and a recent survey in 2023 told us there was a need for virtual clubs and activities as part of our SEND community clubs and activities offer. More specifically a virtual offer is intended to work alongside our face to face offer of community clubs and activities to support children and young people with SEND who may not be able to access face to face for a number of reasons.
During the event we will be sharing with you our key findings report that was compiled after some informal engagement events that took place in April 2023 with families on what a new virtual club and activity could look like. We will provide information of our procurement plans, details of the application process and timeframe. This also gives an opportunity to hear from providers on how they feel this new offer may work, and to answer any questions you may have.
